We have no upper or lower limit on invoices that you can fund — we’ve funded invoices as small as $15 and as large as $2 million. For Cortex suppliers, we find invoices are typically in the range of $1,000 to $500,000.

No, we generally fund invoices that are either ‘Approved’ or ‘Received’. Precisely which invoice states are eligible depends on the specific buyer and your relationship with them.

We charge a flat fee of 2-5%, so you immediately receive the net 95-98% of the invoice value with no other fees.

The exact price for a given invoice is based on three factors:

1. Who is your customer?

2. What are your terms/relationship with them?

3. How long do they typically take to pay?

Once you have enabled a connection to Cortex, we’ll be able to assess the three factors above to determine your specific rate (on a per buyer basis) which will be be between 2-5%. This rate will be communicated and displayed up front, before you decide to fund.

Yes, invoices to any of your buyers are eligible for this program – you can even fund invoices from buyers that you invoice outside of the Cortex network.

This program is enabled by Cortex in partnership with FundThrough, independently of any buyer-run financing programs you may be eligible for. FundThrough will work with you and your individual buyers to get you set up and enable funding.

Yes. When you advance an invoice, FundThrough deposits the funds in your account and then awaits payment directly from your buyer.

When setting up your first funding with a new buyer, we will work with your buyer to redirect the payment of your invoices to FundThrough. This is common practice for many established AP departments and the document used to detail the redirected payment is called a Notice of Assignment. We will provide you with a standard document to forward to your buyer.

After initial setup, funding is automatic and there’s no action needed on your part.

Sometimes buyers don’t pay on time.  As long as there’s a clear expected pay date, we wait for your buyer to pay. If the invoice remains unpaid for an extended period, we may ask you to substitute another invoice for the value of the missing payment or pay the outstanding balance.
